About 16DOD Foundation Members

Alva (A.G) Elder, is one of the founding members of the 16 DOD Foundation and hails from East Cleveland Ohio. He served as Treasurer in the initial executive administration. He is currently the Managing Partner of E Four Properties having a background in engineering and business, specializing in operations managment, logistics and real estate. A.G's interests include playing and writing music, reading, love for God and family.

Oliver Perkins, also known as Jimmy, was born at John Andrews Memorial Hospital in Tuskegee, Alabama, and raised in Opelika, Alabama, by his loving mother, Dr. Yvonne Brown Phillips. He began his college education at Morehouse College before transferring to Tuskegee University, where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration. 

After graduation, Oliver carved out a successful career in finance, specializing in assisting cash- and credit-constrained customers. He has held roles as Director of Operations and Regional Director. Additionally, he is one of the founding members of the 16 DOD Foundation. 

Oliver has a deep passion for history and economics, continually seeking ways to apply his talents to help and serve others.

Harrison King attended Tuskegee University where he obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked in the Corporate world as an Engineer and a Business Manager for many top Companies including Procter and Gamble, Avon Products, Blistex, and others. Besides this he has spent years coaching and tutoring the younger generation in Sports and Sciences. He spent many years traveling Nationally and Internationally as a speaker for the Afrodescendant Nation working on the rights of minorities.  He believes that we should leave a legacy for our future generations. 

Greetings! My name is John R. Hughley Jr., and I am pleased to inform you that my journey thus far has been nothing short of remarkable! I had the tremendous privilege of serving as the vice president of the 16 DoD's Foundation in the past, an opportunity that I wholeheartedly embraced. It was an absolute honor to contribute my utmost efforts to this esteemed position. Currently, I am delighted to announce that I am employed as a Resource Officer with The City of Atlanta School System. I have been dedicated to this role since 2016, and I must confess, I thoroughly enjoy every single moment of it! Prior to this, I retired as a Captain in the sheriff's office of the DeKalb County Government. Can you fathom the magnitude of such an achievement? These were truly exceptional times, my dear friend, truly exceptional times indeed!  

Jay M. Brooks was born and raised in Boston, MA. until the age of 10 years old. This is when his mother moved them to her hometown of Mobile, AL. Jay finished high school there and afterward attended Tuskegee Institute, where he studied Management Science. Upon leaving Tuskegee, Jay decided to relocate back to Boston, MA. Shortly thereafter, Jay decided that the south was better suited for his ambitions, and moved to Atlanta, GA. Once settled in, he took on odd jobs to make ends meet. In January 2011, one marriage and 4 children later, Jay took a leap of faith and moved to Los Ageles, CA to pursue his dream of acting, writing and producing. Jay founded his production company, Omega & a Red Productions in 2020 and is certainly ready to make his mark on the world as a succeeful actor/writer/producer.
